time is in the air tonight.
what does time smell like?
dust, clocks, people.
what does time sound like?
water running in a dark cave;
voices crying;
dirt dropping silently
upon hollow box lids;
rain.
what does time look like?
snow falling in a black room;
a silent film in an ancient theater;
one billion faces falling
like those New Year's balloons,
down, down into nothing.
tonight, you could almost touch time.
