Realization

a vivid rainbow of understanding
suddenly lit in his consciousness.
in its glow, he saw something
immense…
something so large and wonderful
it seemed unquestionable…
preordained.

he turned to face her and
found her bathed in an
ethereal, pale yellow glow.
it transformed the once
plain and dowdy woman
into a creature of almost
unbearable beauty.

she is eos, goddess of the dawn,
he thought.
she is truly beautiful,
and i have fallen in love
with her in this very instant.
